Job Description Full Time.

Shift:

10am to 10:30pm with every other weekend.

Location:

Covering Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. Participates in daily reports, team meetings, staff meetings, department meetings, in‑services, and other related activities. Attends educational and developmental seminars and meetings as deemed appropriate. Provides skilled nursing care to an assigned group of patients in the Inpatient Unit, applying palliative nursing principles and techniques. Ensures patient comfort and provides nursing care, emotional support, and education to the patient, family, and caregiver. Assesses patient condition and reports changes to the RN, administering medications within the patient care plan and physician’s treatment plan. Answers patient call bells in a timely manner. Orders medications for assigned patients. Completes all required documentation for maintaining patient records, including shift assessments, medication administration, and treatments. Communicates with the IPU RN and physician regarding assigned patients and any condition changes or symptoms arising during the shift. Counsels and teaches family members and others related to patients, addressing questions and concerns about end‑of‑life expectations, and refers psychosocial and bereavement issues to appropriate team members. Communicates with interdisciplinary staff and family members regarding assigned patients, including physician, psychosocial, pastoral care staff, and Patient Care Managers. Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements Associate’s of Nursing (Required)

Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement ,

Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body ,

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body .

Pay Range $20.97 - $38.99
