Orthopedist – Sports Medicine Faculty CommonSpirit Health in partnership with Creighton University Medical Center seeks an academic orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine to join our expanding clinic practice in Omaha, NE.

Job Summary Report to the CHI Health Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery. Provide highly competitive salary guarantee and paid relocation expenses. Work in a busy division with nearly 1500 surgeries per year, dedicated ambulatory surgery block time, and access to EPIC EMR. Opportunities to conduct research and participate in teaching medical and undergraduate students.

Responsibilities

Report to the CHI Health Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery

Perform high‑volume sports‑medicine procedures, including minimally invasive/robotic surgery (MAKO)

Collaborate in an academic research and teaching environment

Use EPIC electronic medical records

Participate in the development of a residency program through the Orthopaedic Center of Excellence

Engage in community outreach and maintain high‑quality outcomes

Qualifications

Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery

Experience in sports‑medicine and movement‑injury pathology

Proficiency in minimally invasive/robotic surgery (MAKO)

Strong academic interest with a desire to educate and conduct research

Excellent teamwork and communication skills
