Responsibilities
Austin Oaks Hospital is seeking a qualified, energetic, licensed candidate for the Lead Music, Art, or Recreational Therapist (Full-time) position. The Lead expressive therapist will provide leadership to the current expressive therapists under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services, providing art, music and therapeutic recreation services to the patients, including direct therapy, evaluative activities, and coordination of hospital-wide activities. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree from an accredited college/university in a Therapeutic Recreation program, Art or Music. Licensure / Certification: Required certification with NCTRC, CTRS, MT-BC, and ATR in Texas. Experience: Preferred one year working with adolescent and adult populations. Strong leadership skills; ability to train staff and delegate. Physical requirements
Able to lift 50 pounds with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Physically fit to demonstrate and conduct recreation activities for patients. Physical ability to restrain patients through use of hospital approved methods. Benefits
