Job Description: We are seeking a certified and experienced Educational Diagnostician to join our team. As an Educational Diagnostician, you will be responsible for providing a range of direct services to staff members, students, and parents in our school district. Services consist of, but are not limited to, educational assessments, professional developments, and consultations regarding evaluation referrals and intervention strategies. You will work collaboratively with district personnel and other professionals to collect and compile data for reporting, as needed.
Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Serves as the evaluation coordinator to ensure timely completion and dissemination of all evaluations
Conducts educational assessments and evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services
Participate in IEP team meetings and participate in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
Collaborate with school staff during the SBLC process in the implementation of MTSS (Multi-Tier Systems of Support)
Maintain confidentiality along with accurate and confidential records of all services provided
Remain current and aware of new developments, research, and best practices as it relates to assessments, interventions and the evaluation process.
Requirements
Certification as an Educational Diagnostician by the Louisiana Department of Education
Experience organizing and conducting evaluations in the school setting
Experience administering a variety of educational assessments used in evaluations for special education services
Ability to meet compliance deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with a diverse group of stakeholders
Strong organizational and time management skills
The ability to multi-task and maintain accurate records
Preferred:
Experience delivering professional development/in-service on the evaluation process and MTSS (Multi-Tier System of Support)
Knowledge of the RTI/ MTSS (Multi-Tier Systems of Support) process and other intervention techniques
Experience retrieving information from and uploading information into the Louisiana eSER system
