This role will be critical in building the financial planning infrastructure required to support **capital-intensive vehicle development**, readiness for production, and long-term operation as a large automotive OEM.**WHAT YOU GET TO DO**As Senior Manager of Product Development FP&A, you will partner closely with **Design, Engineering, and Supply Chain** leaders to bring clarity to cost, timing, and investment tradeoffs in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. You will design and improve models, systems, and processes that enable better decisions, faster execution, and smarter capital allocation. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in building from the ground up.* Own and track **bill of material (BOM) costs** and **product investment** across vehicle programs from early concept through launch.* Lead **forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning** for Product Development, covering both operating and capital expenditures.* Build, lead, and scale a **high-impact Product Development FP&A team** to support current programs and future growth.* Partner closely with **Engineering, Design, and Purchasing** to align technical decisions with cost, timing, and investment priorities.* Deliver **clear, actionable financial insights** and reporting to senior leadership to support rapid, informed decision-making.* Design, enhance, and scale **financial systems, tools, and processes** that improve transparency, speed, and financial discipline across product development.* Challenge assumptions, surface tradeoffs early, and ensure capital is deployed where it delivers the greatest value.**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM*** Bachelor’s degree in **Finance, Accounting, or a related field** (Master’s or MBA preferred).* **5–10+ years** of experience in financial planning and analysis; experience supporting **product development or manufacturing** strongly preferred.* Strong **analytical, organizational, and communication** skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.* Experience with **enterprise financial systems** (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive Insights) and advanced proficiency in **Excel**.* Demonstrated ability to **lead teams**, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.At Slate, we’re fueled by grit, determination, and attention to detail.
