Your leadership will continue the evolution of transportation operations as a competitive advantage for our supply chain.As a **Truck Logistics Operations Manager**, you will oversee daily transportation operations across U.S. and Canada, ensuring service excellence while driving efficiency and cost competitiveness. You will lead carrier performance management, implement data-driven strategies, and align sourcing initiatives to maintain a resilient, high-performing transportation network.
In addition, you will guide a high-performing team, fostering collaboration across commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, and procurement functions.This role reports to the Director, Logistics and Distribution and oversees a team of 6.**What you will do:****Manage Daily Transportation Operations:** Oversee bulk, intermodal, dry van, and LTL logistics across U.S. and Canada to ensure service excellence and cost efficiency.**Develop and Maintain Carrier Relationships:** Build and maintain strategic relationships with carriers to ensure reliable service and performance, while collaborating with the Global Logistics Procurement Team (GLPT) on sourcing strategies and rate alignment.**Implement Metric-Driven Strategies:** Develop and monitor KPIs for on-time delivery, routing guide compliance, tender acceptance, sourcing optimization, and freight audit/payment processes to drive continuous improvement.**Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives:** Identify and lead initiatives that enhance transportation planning and operational processes while embedding industry leading practices.**Risk Management and Capacity Planning:** Anticipate and mitigate risks from capacity constraints, weather, volume surges, and other potential service disruptors by developing proactive contingency plans in collaboration with carriers.**What you will bring:**Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.3–5 years of experience in transportation or logistics operations, with proven ability to manage multi-mode networks (bulk, intermodal, dry van, LTL).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with KPIs, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.Proven leadership and team development experience, with ability to coach and motivate direct reports and influence cross-functional teams.Deep understanding of transportation markets and operational dynamics, including capacity planning, carrier performance management, and market trend analysis.**Who you are:****Service-Driven, Cost-Conscious Leader:** Prioritizes service excellence while making cost-aware decisions and proactively managing risks to maintain reliability and competitiveness.**Analytical with a Continuous Improvement Mindset:** Uses KPIs and data insights to solve problems, optimize performance, and identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities without compromising service.**Collaborative People Developer:** Builds strong partnerships with carriers and cross-functional teams while coaching and motivating direct reports to deliver high service and cost accountability**.**Discover why Ingredion is the ideal place to advance your career with our exceptional rewards and benefits package designed to help you thrive.
