As a
Respite Care Center Manager , you’ll play a vital role in supporting children with special needs and providing meaningful relief to their caregivers. This role oversees center-based respite nights, ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children, volunteers, and families. You’ll supervise care, manage safety and behavior support, coordinate volunteers, and—when qualified—provide nursing care for medically fragile children. This is a rewarding, mission-driven role with a predictable, limited schedule and a powerful impact on families in our community.

Requirements & Responsibilities
Current RN, LPN, CNA, or RBT certification required (equivalent education or training in special needs or developmental disabilities may be considered)
Prior experience working with children with special needs or behavioral challenges strongly preferred
Provide compassionate, developmentally appropriate care to children during respite sessions
Supervise children and volunteers to ensure safety, engagement, and appropriate support
Address behavioral challenges professionally and maintain a structured environment
Communicate with families at drop-off and pick-up regarding child needs and incidents
Maintain accurate documentation, including attendance logs and incident reports
Collaborate with volunteer supervisors to ensure proper child supervision
When qualified, administer medications, g-tube feedings, and monitor medical conditions as required
Uphold KOTM policies, confidentiality standards, and core values
Schedule
One Friday or Saturday evening per month
Shift time: 5:00 PM – 9:30 PM (4.5 hours)
Opportunity to trade shifts with another Respite Care Center Manager as needed
Occasional quarterly trainings held on weeknights
