OVERVIEW
The Equine Specialty Hospital in Burton, Ohio is seeking to add a 3rd full time surgeon to the practice. Preference will be given to ACVS Board Certified applicants, however ACVS Board eligible and resident trained individuals are encouraged to apply. Benefits of working at the hospital include: Immediate caseload consisting of scheduled appointments, elective procedures, and emergencies. Our caseload consists of 100% in hospital elective and emergency surgeries, sports medicine/lameness evaluations, advanced imaging, and internal medicine. Competitive salary plus productivity, full benefits package, matching 401K, annual professional licensing and moving stipend. Exceptional opportunity to work and collaborate with two board certified surgeons. Emergency on-call and afterhours is shared equally with two other surgeons. The required qualifications include a DVM degree. Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons is highly preferred, however ACVS Board eligible and resident trained individuals are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate would have the ability to take on current caseload and the ability to develop new clientele in all aspects of equine medicine. We are looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented member, that will excel at client, staff and colleague/referring DVM communication. ABOUT US
The Equine Specialty Hospital is a well established, privately owned that provides 24x7 service to Ohio, New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The hospital is located 40 minutes east of Cleveland and is the only referral practice in northeast Ohio. The hospital is among the best equipped facilities in the country with a full array of diagnostic modalities including MRI, nuclear scintigraphy, digital radiography, digital ultrasonography, dynamic and standing videoendoscopy, and in-house laboratory equipment. The hospital includes 23 stalls, isolation facility, neurologic stall, neonatal intensive care unit, three treatment rooms, two surgical suites, two induction/recovery stalls, and onsite farrier. The hospital is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to optimize quality care and to facilitate the needs of our patients and clients. The hospital is in a beautiful rural area of Northeast Ohio, but close to Cleveland and Akron where you can enjoy vibrant restaurants, the theatre district and professional sports teams.
