Recommend and support the hiring and development of high-potential employees through mentoring and structured training paths. Lead weekly departmental shift meetings and daily meetings with Work Team Leads (WTLs) to proactively address issues and audit assigned responsibilities. Develop, implement, and maintain training standards for Leads, Operators, Pulpers, and Packers focused on safety, quality, and productivity. Monitor daily shift performance to ensure expectations and responsibilities are met and properly tracked. Identify production gaps early and collaborate with the Plant Manager to implement corrective actions. Direct departmental personnel by making daily decisions related to staffing, equipment, and material allocation to meet delivery, quality, and cost targets. Execute supervisory responsibilities for production and manufacturing operations in compliance with company policies and applicable laws, including hiring, training, work assignment, and performance management. Communicate and enforce company policies and standards while maintaining discipline, morale, and positive employee relations; administer corrective actions for policy violations, absenteeism, misconduct, or performance deficiencies. Coordinate with cross-functional departments including Purchasing, Maintenance, Customer Service, Human Resources, and Engineering to support operational objectives. Monitor on-time delivery performance and support the investigation of quality issues, including customer complaints and internal corrective action reports, by identifying root causes and implementing preventive training measures. Drive safety awareness initiatives by ensuring regular safety audits are conducted, identifying improvement opportunities, participating in safety teams, and serving as an active resource for safety programs. Track and analyze key performance indicators such as scrap, downtime, and throughput, and implement improvement initiatives to enhance results. Partner with Team Leads to address safety concerns within their areas and ensure injury reports are accurately completed. Deliver safety training as needed to reinforce policies and safe work practices. Promote workplace organization and continuous improvement by identifying cost-reduction opportunities and recommending enhancements to processes, procedures, equipment, and facility layout. Bachelor’s Degree desired. 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing. Manufacturing environment experience desired. Excellent time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Benefits
