About the Role As a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, you’ll provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an inpatient-only setting, collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Schedule & Workload
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Inpatient only
Average 3–8 patients per day
What You’ll Do
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
Develop and implement individualized, outcomes-based treatment plans
Prescribe and manage medications and therapeutic interventions
Counsel patients and families with empathy and clarity
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Provide consultation-level specialty care
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Perform procedures within scope and competency as delegated

Ability to manage care across inpatient settings
Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based practice
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Licensed RN and APRN in Texas (or RN Compact license with Texas APRN)
Current Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
Board certification as an APRN for patient population focus
BLS certification within 30 days of hire
Less than 1 year of NP experience required
