As a Palliative Care Physician Assistant, you’ll deliver high-quality inpatient care in collaboration with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary teams. You’ll be empowered to practice at the top of your license while building meaningful connections with patients and families. Schedule & Workload
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Inpatient-only practice Average 3–8 patients per day What You’ll Do
Conduct comprehensive or problem-focused patient assessments Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests Prescribe and manage medications and therapeutic interventions per approved protocols Develop and implement individualized, outcomes-based treatment plans Counsel patients and families on illness management, medications, nutrition, and health promotion Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members Perform procedures within scope and delegated authority Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Provide consultation-level specialty care when appropriate What Makes You a Strong Candidate?
Solid clinical knowledge and sound medical judgment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to navigate complex patient needs with compassion and professionalism Comfort working in inpatient settings Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current PA license in the state of Texas NCCPA certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire Less than 1 year of PA experience required Our Core Values
