POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides in office and remote monitoring of cardiac devices, evaluates device transmissions and interrogations, assess post-operative wounds, educates patients and families before and after implantation, and maintains comprehensive cardiac device records. Ability to balance independent decision-making (using nursing knowledge and experience). Provides oversight and leadership to Device Clinic service operations and staff.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Graduation certificate from an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) school of nursing, required
Current MS state licensure, required
BLS/CPR certification, preferred
Basic knowledge of ECG interpretations, preferred
Basic knowledge of pacemaker functions, preferred
Basic knowledge of arrhythmias, preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations/timelines
Ability and desire to learn new technologies
Must be timely and dependable
Must be able to multi-task, work independently and be very detail oriented
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be able to complete documentation accurately
Must be able to follow existing workflows
