The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Grand Rapids seeking experienced Industrial Electricians. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in a manufacturing environment. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions using various testing devices and schematics. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for installation and repair. Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, national electrical codes (NEC), and company policies. Calibrate and test electrical instruments, control systems, and sensors. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and execute efficient repairs to restore production. Recommended Qualifications Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent industrial electrical license. Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing industrial electrical systems (e.g., motors, controls, PLCs, VFDs). Strong understanding of national and local electrical codes (e.g., NEC) and safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E). Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for diagnostics and minor programming/modifications.
