Overview The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of the Sales Operations and Commercial Execution business unit across the United States and Canada. This role leads sell-out sales management with final customers (retailers) while ensuring best-in-class execution of brand strategy at the point of sale (POS) for CBI-represented brands, as well as the onboarding and development of new brands within the portfolio.

The position is accountable for ensuring strict adherence to the sales management and commercial execution model, driving field discipline, and standardizing execution to deliver profitable growth, strong brand positioning, and operational excellence, particularly within National and Hispanic markets.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new clients and business opportunities in merchandising and retail execution.

Ensure compliance with operational standards and key field performance KPIs.

Lead and manage the field operations team (Team Leaders, developers, merchandisers).

Optimize routes, resources, operational costs and budget.

Implement continuous improvement processes and field-tracking technologies.

Maintain strong relationships with current clients and manage critical escalations.

Collaborate with Marketing, Trade and Sales to enhance in-store visibility and activations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).

Proven experience leading sell-out sales and commercial execution within FMCG, retail services, or merchandising environments in the U.S.

Strong hands-on experience with major national retailers (Walmart, Target, Kroger) and Hispanic retail chains.

Deep understanding of sell-out-driven execution models, retail KPIs, category management, and trade marketing.

Strong commercial acumen with experience in client leadership, brand development, and portfolio expansion.

Proven ability to lead multicultural, geographically dispersed field teams.

Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Nielsen, POS data, Power BI, and retail execution platforms.

Solid knowledge of U.S. labor and operational regulations (Canada experience is a plus).

Highly results-driven leader with a strong execution mindset and business ownership approach.
