Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine product designs and components using CAD software.
Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs) for manufacturing.
Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize cost, quality, and performance.
Perform design calculations, simulations, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate product integrity.
Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure design manufacturability and resolve issues.
Manage design changes and document revisions throughout the product lifecycle.
Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new and revised designs.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) for design and modeling.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, stamping) and material selection.
Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and GD&T principles.
Proven ability to analyze design challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of designs.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
Proficiency in FEA/CFD simulation software
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
Hands‑on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or assembly processes
