Responsible for all technical aspects for large complex projects and is recognized as a technical expert.Own and deliver fully resolved sketches and tech packs of new eyewear concepts based on the specifications set per the product brief and licensor requestsExcellence in generating and approving fully detailed technical drawings, inclusive of section drawings, exploded views, and notes for prototypingExcellence in CAD assessment/revisions to ensure accurate translation of drawings, adherence to QC standards, and proper fitOwn and drive design ideation, technology, and trend research sessionsLead in gathering, interpreting, sharing, and raising awareness of technology and trends in the eyewear and fashion marketsLead product innovation with factories and ensure compliance with all quality requirementsReview, mentor, and critique the junior design teamCommunicate and collaborate with all other designer levels to help with ad-hoc projects**Job Specifications***Typically has the following skills or abilities:*Master's Degree in Industrial Design or related field, or equivalent experience8+ years of eyewear design experienceExcellent Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Proficiency in 3D advanced surfacing in programs such as Rhino, Alias, or Pre-EExcellent organization skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multitaskExcellence in sketching, concept ideation, and design visionExcellent project management skillsAbility to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the job dutiesTravel domestic and international may be required#LI-MARCHONCompensation range for the role is listed below.
