Owns the overall design, is a visionary, and fully executes mood boards, 2D/3D sketches, and complex tech packs aligned to brand foundation and business needs. Provides technical leadership on complex projects and new technology.
Responsibilities
Own and deliver fully resolved sketches and tech packs of new eyewear concepts based on product brief and licensor requests.
Generate and approve fully detailed technical drawings, including section drawings, exploded views, and notes for prototyping.
Assess and revise CAD to ensure accurate translation of drawings, adherence to QC standards, and proper fit.
Drive design ideation, technology, and trend research sessions.
Gather, interpret, share, and raise awareness of technology and trends in the eyewear and fashion markets.
Lead product innovation with factories and ensure compliance with all quality requirements.
Review, mentor, and critique the junior design team.
Collaborate with all other designer levels on ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Industrial Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of eyewear design experience.
Excellent proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D advanced surfacing in programs such as Rhino, Alias, or Pre‑E.
Excellent organization skills, detail‑oriented, and ability to multitask.
Excellence in sketching, concept ideation, and design vision.
Excellent project management skills.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties.
Domestic and international travel may be required.
Salary Ranges: $120,750.00 - $190,050.00
