Position:
Part‑Time Pre‑Op/PACU Registered Nurse
Location:
Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View
No weekends, no call, no holidays.
Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Registered Nurse works with Senior Management in meeting facility safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of a professional school of Nursing – BSN preferred
Licensure: Current license as a VA Registered Nurse
Certifications: BLS required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days
Experience: 2 years’ ambulatory experience preferred
Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Independent decision‑making skills
Excellent customer‑service skills
Advocate of patient safety and quality of care
Provide leadership and support in developing and maintaining effective relationships with the center staff and the medical staff
Maintain standards of nursing care within the Center in compliance with professional nursing standards and recommended perioperative procedures
