We are seeking a
Long-Term Care Pharmacist
to join a growing closed-door LTC pharmacy serving skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. This is a
non-retail, non-patient-facing
environment focused on high-volume prescription accuracy, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
This role is ideal for pharmacists who enjoy a
fast-paced, precision-driven setting
and prefer verification, clinical support, and operational excellence over traditional retail workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify physician-issued prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, interactions, and regulatory compliance (PV1 & PV2)
Perform
Data Verification (PV1)
and
Final Product Verification (PV2)
to ensure medication safety before distribution
Supervise and direct pharmacy technicians in dispensing, packaging, labeling, and order fulfillment
Compound sterile and non-sterile medications following standard formulas and procedures
Ensure accurate intake and timely fulfillment of prescription orders
Provide clinical support to nursing facility staff and physicians regarding medication therapy and drug interactions
Assist with urgent or stat medication requests and troubleshoot order issues
Maintain proper medication storage, documentation, and record-keeping systems
Support quality improvement initiatives and prescription accuracy programs
Promote open communication internally and externally to enhance pharmacy operations
Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call support as scheduled
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations (DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, OSHA, etc.)
Uphold the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy
Active
Pharmacist license in Minnesota
(multi-state licensure a plus; must be willing to obtain additional licenses if needed)
Long‑Term Care pharmacy experience preferred (not required)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain regular attendance and adapt to rotating schedules
Registered Pharmacist (Required)
Schedule Options Day Shift (40 hours/week)
5 × 8‑hour shifts per week
6:30am, 9:30am, 10:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm
Expect 1–2 afternoon/closing shifts per week
Every 3 weeks initially
Every 4–5 weeks after on-boarding
7 On / 7 Off (Nights)
72 hours worked / 80 hours paid
Thurs: 10am–7pm
Fri: 10am–8pm
Sat: 8am–8pm
Sun: 8am–7pm
Mon–Wed: 10am–7pm
One full week off between rotations
