Job Description The Certified Medical Assistant will coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe, quality, and cost‑effective service and care for patients within the practice population. Responsibilities
Facilitate patient intake, screening, and registration procedures. Assist with clinical tasks including medication administration and basic laboratory techniques. Perform administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, records management, and documentation. Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain high standards of patient safety and care. Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program that includes pharmacology and medication administration. Certification / Licensure:
Current certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire. Accepted certifications include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT, American Registry of Medical Assistants, NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, AAH, ARMA). Experience:
Previous work in a medical office preferred. Additional Skills:
Ability to complete department‑specific skills validation and competency testing. Additional Information
