Overview Director of Landscape Operations (Maintenance)

Central responsibilities include leading Landscape Operations, Project Manager, and Project Admin to develop a market-leading team, establishing divisional service standards, safety practices, and operating cadence. The role collaborates with peers and executives to resolve operational and cross-functional challenges and drives KPIs, scoreboards, and gross margin accountability while modeling company policies and core values.

Responsibilities

Leadership (40%)

Provide leadership, management, and accountability for the Landscape Operations, Project Manager, and Project Admin roles to develop a market-leading team.

Establish and maintain divisional service standards, safety practices, and operating cadence.

Collaborate with peers and executives to resolve operational and cross-functional challenges.

Drive divisional KPIs, weekly/monthly scoreboards, and gross margin accountability.

Model company policies and core values while fostering trust and culture across teams.

Operations (40%)

Own and manage the division's annual budget of $3.5M in 2026.

Accountable for training, safety compliance, equipment standards, and quality expectations.

Own landscape client satisfaction outcomes by providing superior experience and quality.

Maintain scheduling discipline for project planning, materials staging, and installation readiness.

Lead weekly division meetings and over/under reviews.

Partner with PM and support teams to manage budgets, materials, and workflows.

Ensure accuracy of Aspire templates, production rates, and materials lists.

Provide leadership in winter operations (snow removal operations).

Scheduling & Planning (20%)

Develop and oversee efficient weekly and monthly crew schedules.

Align staffing capacity and labor planning with throughput targets.

Lead pre-construction meetings ensuring seamless sales to production handoff.

Cross-Functional Leadership (ongoing)

Serve on leadership team attending weekly, monthly, and annual meetings.

Build trust and accountability within teams.

Coach managers and crew leaders for growth and performance.

Collaborate with Sales/Design, HR, and Fleet teams for seamless execution.

Own vendor relationships, including sourcing, cost negotiation, and quality control.

Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management with HR support.

Performance Metrics

Gross margin achievement for the Landscape Division.

Throughput and efficiency goals (total budgeted hours for the season).

Employee and customer Net Promoter Scores (NPS).

Safety compliance and incident reporting.

Team engagement and retention of key roles.

Team feels supported, respected, and challenged.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $90,000-110,000 DOE
