Job Summary To provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of Interventional Radiology (IR) equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. Acts as a resource for lower level Interventional Radiology Technologists and students.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a graduate of a JRCERT accredited program
Valid MRT license by Texas Medical Board (TMB) required
Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
Certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) approved program
Work Experience 2 years staff IR Technologist
Equipment Operated IR equipment, PACS, RIS and related clinical equipment
Special Requirements Communication Skills:
Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)
Writing / Composing (Correspondence/Reports)
Other Skills:
Analytical, CRT, Medical Terms, P.C.
Advanced Education Advanced Training/Specialty: Graduated from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
