Operating 24 shelters across New York City, URI provides 3,700 beds nightly in purpose-built shelters that offer trauma-informed services including counseling, childcare, case management, and more. POSITION OVERVIEW The Case Manager Supervisor assesses mental and emotional functioning of residents and administers services for necessary treatment. They provide supervision to the Case Managers through case analysis, service planning and the supervisory process. Provides direct treatment services and issues referrals on an as needed basis. Responsibilities

Supervise Case Managers and provide administrative and group supervision. Coordinate staff training, meetings, supervision and opportunities for professional development. Attend consortium meetings with DHS and others to discuss issues pertaining to service delivery. Coordinate mental health/psychiatric care and referrals. Develop a resource network of social services providers. Chair case conference meetings and coordinate service plan implementation. Develop and facilitate group meetings. Monitor resident records for compliance and best practices. Function independently in times of facility coverage and respond to crises per agency procedures. Attend monthly staff meetings and case conferences. Regularly assess the safety and well-being of all clients. Participate in weekly individual and group supervision with Director and in training seminars to enhance clinical skills. Assist with reports and program evaluation; review progress notes and service plans; monitor client compliance. Develop strategies for engaging individuals with trauma histories. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Social Services. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required. Bi-lingual, Mandarin or Spanish preferred. Five (5) years’ experience working with homeless individuals and their dependent children. Demonstrated sensitivity and experience with homelessness in disenfranchised communities including LGBTQ+ and/or HIV-affected individuals, the elderly, and those with substance abuse and/or mental health issues. Familiarity with DHS regulations and DHS Cares Reporting. Experience with supportive group facilitation. Training and experience in assessing the vocational and educational needs and aptitudes of clients. Experience engaging clients through Public Assistance, Medicaid and other benefits. Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to collaborate with other departments, agencies, systems and institutions to maximize resources. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications. Physical Requirements

Ability to read printed and handwritten materials and information on computer screen. Use of computer mouse and keyboard; sit for extended periods; enter information in digital forms and spreadsheets. May lift up to 10 pounds and may occasionally reach and bend.
