This facility houses approximately 460 male offenders. The individual assigned to this position will directly report to the Correctional Program Supervisor. The primary purpose of this position is to provide a variety of program services to offenders. The responsibilities include the following:* Assessing offender behavior and developing counseling strategies to achieve desired offender progress.* Answering offender questions, giving information about classification and sentencing status, corresponding with offender families, and providing supportive counseling.* Organizing and directing the activities of various rehabilitation programs provided for offender.* Coordinating community resources, planning and coordinating transition (re-entry) prior to parole or release into the community.* Making recommendations to the offender classification committees on an inmate’s program involvement or custody level change.* Working with inmates whose problems, needs and comprehension levels vary greatly.* Working in all sections of a Medium Custody prison facility which places them in constant contact with offenders.* Serving in a custody role during certain activities.* Working some evening hours, weekends, and holidays.**Work Schedule**This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with
