Registered Nurse – Atrium Health Mercy PreSurgery Holding (Full Time, Days w/ Call)
Pay Range: $34.90 - $52.35 per hour
About This Location The PreSurgery unit features 27 beds and prepares patients for orthopedic, spine, bariatric, general, and vascular procedures. Primary duties include assessing and admitting patients before surgery, inserting IVs, administering preoperative medications, preparing surgical sites, maintaining accurate documentation, educating patients and families, and working closely with the healthcare team.
We’re Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the nurse practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
What You’ll Do:
Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and effective communication to lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
