Overview Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an engineer to join the Asset Health Assurance team supporting the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at Arnold Engineering Development Complex at Arnold AFB, TN. This engineer will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for maintaining and sustaining the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary A Condition Based Maintenance Engineer develops and implements strategies that use predictive technologies to monitor industrial equipment. The goal is to move from a reactive or scheduled maintenance model to a proactive, data-driven approach. This role is crucial for improving equipment reliability, minimizing planned downtime, and optimizing maintenance costs. By analyzing data, this engineer can help predict potential failures and provides actionable insights to maintenance teams before a breakdown occurs. While experience is welcomed, we will train the right person who has an interest in learning varied predictive technologies and tools.

Job Duties

Deploy and manage condition monitoring tools to assess equipment health including a variety of techniques including, but not limited to: Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Oil Analysis, Ultrasonic and Acoustic Analysis, and Electrical Analysis

Collect and analyze data from various sensors and monitoring systems to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns that indicate potential equipment failure

Conduct thorough investigations into equipment failures to determine the root cause and prevent recurrence utilizing necessary tools and approaches including FMEA

Use data-driven insights to create and refine maintenance plans in coordination with engineers in the field responsible for equipment

Work closely with personnel outside the CBM group such as asset owners, test operations engineers, systems engineers, and craftsmen to implement predictive technologies and promote expansion of their utilization within the industrial areas

Maintains a collaborative engineering environment within the AHA group and also between AHA and test cells, test systems, and plant systems operations across other NAS branches.

It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.

Perform other related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

BS degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering from an accredited university plus a minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience, preferably in condition based or reliability centered maintenance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network

Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PdM technologies (infrared, ultrasound, vibration and oil analysis)

Coursework, declared minor, or training in Asset Management and/or Reliability Centered Maintenance/Condition Based Maintenance

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis abilities

CMRP Certification

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with management and customers, both written and verbal

Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation

Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
