Responsibilities As an OR RN, you’ll spearhead sterile processing, patient positioning, and instrument readiness; assist surgeons and anesthesia teams during a broad range of procedures; manage intraoperative documentation; and uphold rigorous safety and infection prevention protocols. You’ll coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to minimize delays, optimize room turnover, and ensure accurate counts and specimen labeling. Your leadership will help foster a cohesive surgical team, and you’ll have clear pathways to advanced practice opportunities within perioperative services, including specialty certifications and leadership roles as you demonstrate impact and reliability. The role also includes a clear path for contract extensions, enabling you to deepen your expertise and build lasting professional relationships.
