This Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within the Gastrointestinal Laboratory. The RN utilizes the nursing process with technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence‑based practice, and coordination with the health team.
Base Pay Range $35.00/hr – $52.00/hr

Essential Functions (Responsibilities)
Assess:
Perform appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate. Seek and evaluate information from other interdisciplinary team members.
Plan:
Use assessment information and critical thinking to collaboratively develop individualized plan of care, seeking patient, family, team, and physician involvement.
Implement:
Direct and delegate care using delegation, coordination, and collaboration; provide or delegate care consistent with plan of care and professional licensure provisions; prioritize and coordinate resources.
Evaluate:
Evaluate patient response to interventions, review achievement of goals and clinical outcomes, revise plan of care as needed, and reassess changes appropriately.
Professionalism:
Promote nursing profession, integrate legal and ethical standards, practice within scope of licensure, maintain accurate documentation, and understand legal implications of care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
BSN required as of 4/27/2025 (prior hires held to items in place at the time of hire)
Physical Requirements
Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies
Frequent verbal communication with patients, caregivers, and visitors; requires listening and understanding spoken information quickly and accurately
Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment; frequent computer use and typing for documentation; medication preparation
Lift and transfer patients; bend, lift, and carry supplies and equipment of varying weights
Walk and assist with ambulating patients and transporting supplies; push/pull gurneys and equipment
May be required to stand for extended periods
For roles requiring driving: expected to operate a vehicle, reading signs and traffic signals
