Job Summary This position exists in various departments (Prep, Kitchen, Filling, Packaging) to produce finished product. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and or as necessary.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment such as dicers, sous vide packaging sealers, ovens, and tumblers

Process produce and/or protein

Monitor temperatures of product

Read and execute recipe procedures

Measure and weigh ingredients

Operate equipment such as kettles, baggers, sous vide packaging sealers, and steam ovens

Prepare and cook sauces, soups, proteins, grains, etc.

Expedite product between areas for assembly

Assemble meal components into trays

Pull finished product off the line and place onto racks for transport to Packaging Area

Ensure finished product conforms to specifications

Remove damaged products as needed

Responsible for packaging and product changeovers

Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices

Keep daily records of product, temperatures, weights, and down time

Accountable to ensuring compliance with all food safety, quality standards and good manufacturing practices including allergen handling

Required to maintain documentation that demonstrates regulatory compliance for all policies pertaining to HACCP, USDA and FDA mandates

Perform/responsible to adhere to all required quality/food safety checks including data sheets and other controlled documents

Demonstrates competency to clean, assemble, operate and troubleshoot machinery respective to each functional area within ingredient preparation

Follows all established safety protocols (LOTO, Work at Height, Wet, Cold Environment and wears required PPE, e.g., safety glasses, steel toe boots, gloves, aprons, sleeves, ear plugs, hard hat, etc.)

Perform tasks to support other departments when directed

Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry

Must be available to work overtime and weekends

Ability to learn system logic and operate HMI/control panels and fine tune equipment for minor and major adjustments

Self-directed, able to keep oneself busy and flow to the work

Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively

High ethical standards, strong values, integrity. Drive to deliver results, pride in personal and team performance, decision quality, and action oriented are fundamental imperatives

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and internal/external customers

Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on‑going communications about safety and quality issues
