ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist – Physicians Care (Hixson, TN)
Physicians Care is seeking an experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X‑Ray Technician to join our team at the Urgent Team Walk‑in Urgent Care in Hixson, TN. The role includes performing x‑ray examinations, operating diagnostic equipment, preparing and maintaining the radiology room, and providing additional Medical Assistant duties as needed. A sign‑on/retention bonus of up to $3,500 is available for the full‑time opening.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients upon entry and provide clear communication regarding wait times and next steps.
Offer solutions to patient concerns and seek assistance in emergent or hazardous situations.
Execute follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.
Assist front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when required.
Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, weight, and pertinent medical history.
Assist with patient transfers and procedures directly supervised by the provider.
Follow documentation procedures and complete all required records related to patient visits.
Perform radiology procedures promptly and in accordance with clinical protocols.
Conduct quality‑control checks to ensure high‑quality examinations.
Prepare patients for procedures, implementing radiation protection and shielding techniques.
Maintain equipment in working order and report malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty.
Continuously improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with external educational resources.
Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
BLS Certification.
Valid AR State X‑Ray License.
ARRT Certification preferred.
Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Schedule & Benefits Full‑time positions: rotating 36‑40 hour/week schedule with 12‑hour weekday shifts and every‑other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled as needed.
