is seeking experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X‑Ray Technologists to join our team in Chattanooga, TN.
Job Summary:
Perform X‑ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement, using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, prepare the room with necessary supplies, and perform Medical Assistant duties.
Key Responsibilities
Promptly greet patients in the waiting area, exam room, and X‑ray room.
Communicate wait times and direct patients to next steps in the treatment process.
Provide solutions to patient problems and seek help in emergent or hazardous situations.
Execute follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.
Assist front‑desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures as needed.
Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, weight, and relevant medical history.
Assist with patient transfers.
Assist with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visits.
Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
Perform necessary quality‑control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.
Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures for patient safety, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty.
Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with external educational resources.
Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment.
Schedule Full‑time team members work a rotating 36‑40 hour/weekly schedule, consisting of 12‑hour weekday shifts and every‑other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as‑needed basis.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS Certification
AR State X‑Ray License
ARRT Certification preferred
Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
