DESCRIPTION The Inside Sales Representative will play a key role in supporting the sales team by reviewing proposals, managing CRM data, and driving business development initiatives. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to prospect, engage, and validate leads effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Proposal Review Support: Assist the Applications Engineering and Sales teams by reviewing incoming proposals for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with company capabilities and strategic objectives.
CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information within the company CRM system, ensuring data integrity for customer accounts, opportunities, leads, and interactions.
Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential customers through various sources, including Environmental Working Group (EWG) databases and industry resources, to develop new business opportunities.
Cold Calling and Outreach: Conduct cold calls to prospective customers to introduce AV’s solutions, qualify interest, and schedule meetings or demos for the regional sales team.
Lead Validation: Validate incoming leads for accuracy and fit with company services, and ensure proper documentation within the CRM.
Cross‑Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Applications Engineering to support pursuit strategies and pipeline development.
Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Sales Manager on prospecting activities, lead status, and CRM metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience in sales, business development, or customer service.
1-3 years of experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or CRM data management, preferably within industrial, water treatment, or environmental services sectors.
Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to the company’s social and environmental mission by promoting sustainable practices, fostering an inclusive work environment, and consistently prioritizing health and safety in all aspects of their role.
Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to prospecting and task completion.
WORK CONDITIONS This role is a remote position with standard working hours. The Inside Sales Representative will conduct daily activities from a home office environment, with reliable internet access required to perform prospecting, CRM management, and virtual meetings effectively. Regular travel for customer engagement, meetings, and training will be required.
