Job Summary: Panelmatic is seeking a detail‑oriented experienced Engineering Manager who will design and implement Utility grade, industrial, commercial, and domestic electrical power systems.

Responsibilities:

Leads the engineering and project management efforts on assigned projects and is responsible for coordinating the individual Engineering Disciplines such that the most cost‑effective total project solution for executing engineering work is achieved

Ensures that the engineering work on the project is completed on schedule, meets quality standards including review meetings and checking procedures, performance is within the baseline man‑hour and material budgets, required deliverables are produced and change management is executed in a timely manner

Reviews the status of the schedule and progress performance with the Clients on a regular basis, and keeps the General Managers apprised of issues

Ensures the quality of the engineering execution and deliverables

Participates in people development through mentoring, development of training material, and conducting or training seminars

Develops and builds client relations

Coordinates and develops structural and electrical documents for the scope of work definition, specification, data sheets, equipment selection, drawing review, schematic development, wiring diagrams, physical layout drawings, and project close‑out procedures for low to medium‑voltage industrial power distribution systems

Prepares and reviews purchase orders for various electrical equipment

Coordinates inspection and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for Power Distribution Centers and control enclosure buildings with the GM, MM and quality control inspector

Exhibits thorough understanding of pertinent codes and governing regulations, and industry practices

Performs all key duties & responsibilities set forth in QAP 30.1.3.

Works directly with the GM & MM to set project priorities, schedules, workloads, and personnel requirements.

Oversees all state inspection submissions and approvals and insures they are completed in a timely manner.

Coordinates third party inspections of all required projects.

Oversees all building shipments, loading, offloading, and site installations to insure successful project completion.

Assists with inventory tracking and proper charges offs to projects before shipment.

Assists GM as needed with other activities including sales, site visits, R&D, purchasing, estimating, etc. as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

AS or higher in Electrical Engineering required

Ten or more years of experience in electrical design and engineering required

Five or more years of experience in managing project managers and junior engineers required

Five or more years of product knowledge of key electrical components of a Protection & Control Panel (SEL, Electroswitch, test switches, etc.) required

Analytical abilities and problem‑solving skills required

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required

Growth mindset with the ability to accept challenges required

Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required

Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required
