Engineering Manager (Fundraising Experience Team)
Ring Inc, Brazil, Indiana, United States, 47834
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager (Fundraising Experience Team) in Brazil.
In this role, you will lead and grow a high-impact engineering team responsible for building and improving fundraising experiences used by millions of donors worldwide. You will balance people leadership with hands‑on technical contribution, helping shape architecture, delivery standards, and long‑term product quality. Working in a fully remote and globally distributed environment, you will collaborate closely with product and design partners to turn complex requirements into elegant, scalable solutions. The role offers meaningful ownership over team performance, technical direction, and execution. Your work will directly support mission‑driven organizations by improving how they raise funds and engage supporters. This position is ideal for a thoughtful engineering leader who values simplicity, quality, and mentorship.
Accountabilities:
Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers, fostering growth through feedback, coaching, and performance reviews
Own team delivery by ensuring high standards of quality, reliability, and sustainable development pace
Contribute hands‑on to building and maintaining features used at global scale
Uphold architectural principles, code quality standards, and a strong testing culture
Partner closely with Product Managers and Designers to shape scope, prioritize work, and maximize delivered value
Review pull requests, guide technical decisions, and translate product requirements into sound technical approaches
Collaborate with support teams on bug triage, prioritization, and timely delivery of critical fixes
Communicate technical trade‑offs clearly to non‑technical stakeholders and proactively surface risks
Requirements:
10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with at least 4+ years in an engineering management role
Strong background in Ruby on Rails with 7+ years of hands‑on experience
Solid expertise in SQL, including data modeling and performance considerations
Strong experience with vanilla JavaScript, along with clean, maintainable HTML and CSS
Proven ability to lead teams while remaining technically engaged
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote, globally distributed environment
Strong judgment in balancing technical excellence, delivery speed, and long‑term maintainability
Benefits:
Competitive salary range of 65,000 to 80,000 USD annually, depending on experience and location
Fully remote work within Latin America
Eligibility for employee equity through stock options
Home office and professional development reimbursement up to 1,500 USD
Generous paid time off including 21 days, birthday leave, flexible holidays, and volunteer days
Wellness program with fitness and mindfulness classes
Opportunity to work on meaningful products that support nonprofits worldwide
