A Day In The Life Bunge seeks a highly motivated corporate finance professional who will be excited to work in a high‑paced environment, applying corporate finance theory to real business challenges within Bunge's Global Treasury team. Treasury manages capital structure, risk, and supports strategic transformation. The role will work with internal and external stakeholders including banks, advisors, rating agencies, and will closely collaborate with executive leadership and other finance areas such as tax, controlling, FP&A, and business development.
What You'll Be Doing Capital Markets Strategy & Execution
Manage and support the design, strategy, and execution of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and equity transactions, participating in all issuance activities including marketing, legal documentation, pricing, and hedging.
Collaborate with banking partners and book‑runners to structure and execute optimal capital market transactions, monitoring market conditions for innovative financing solutions aligned with company objectives.
Support the management of Bunge's Commercial Paper (CP) program, coordinating with dealers to optimize issuance strategy and ensuring efficient execution.
Participate in the execution and ongoing management of specific bank debt facilities as needed.
Monitor global financial and credit market trends, analyze potential impact on Bunge's liability portfolio, and provide actionable insights to management.
Credit Rating Management & Strategy
Assist the treasury leadership team in managing the rating agency relationships.
Monitor credit rating agency publications and analyses of Bunge's industry and competitors, assess impact, and recommend proactive strategies or communications.
Serve as the internal expert on credit rating agency methodologies, providing analysis and opinions on rating implications of Bunge's strategic initiatives and planned corporate actions.
Calculate Bunge's capital deployment capacity and assess the credit rating implications of proposed capital allocation strategies.
Corporate Finance Analytics
Collaborate with the FP&A team to develop, update, and maintain Bunge's strategic finance model supporting capital allocation decisions and external financial communications.
Provide ad‑hoc analytical support for critical corporate finance initiatives, including complex financial models and cross‑functional collaboration for commercial insights.
Deliver analytical and decision support for affiliate financing activities, evaluating profitability, cash flow, tax implications, sovereign risk, and currency exposures.
Lead Bunge's interest expense forecasts, monitor funding mix across regions, and develop detailed monthly cash flow projections to support liquidity and capital planning.
Develop and maintain risk‑adjusted cost of capital metrics (WACC, PBT interest rate, OPWC charge, incremental cost of funds), ensuring appropriate understanding throughout the organization.
Support comprehensive treasury reporting, including preparation of materials for Board and management presentations and accurate external reporting disclosures related to treasury activities.
Skills/Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; master's preferred.
2‑5 years of experience in treasury or related financial discipline.
Basic knowledge of financial markets, treasury operations, and risk management principles.
Outstanding quantitative and analytical abilities; familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple ongoing projects and set priorities.
Ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast‑paced, multi‑cultural work environment and solve practical problems.
Attention to detail and self‑imposed aversion for errors.
Strong work ethic, well‑organized, self‑starter.
