Overview
Irving Yee Architecture is a pioneering startup, deeply rooted in New York City's architectural landscape. For over 25 years owner, Irving Yee has cultivated an outstanding portfolio of design and review work. IYA is in search of a dynamic Senior Architect Project Manager to join us in crafting our brand and steering our firm's future. This role is tailor-made for an individual who thrives in a small, entrepreneurial atmosphere and is ready to embrace all facets of the role with self-reliance. New employees will undergo training focused on alteration review tasks. The majority of their early responsibilities will involve conducting alteration reviews for co-ops and condos.
Responsibilities
End-to-End Project Ownership:
Independently handle all architectural project aspects, from initial client engagement to project fruition.
Collaborative Design:
Work closely with design teams to forge innovative and pragmatic solutions for residential buildings, co-ops, and condos.
Review and Revival:
Lead the charge in evaluating and rejuvenating residential buildings and their spaces, ensuring strict adherence to NYC codes and regulations.
AutoCAD Expertise:
Leverage AutoCAD for creating and scrutinizing architectural plans and drawings.
Brand Cultivation:
Contribute to the nurturing and expansion of Irving Yee Architecture's presence in the NYC architectural community.
Knowledge and Adherence:
Stay updated on NYC codes, regulations, knowledge of local law 11 is a plus.
Qualifications
7-10 years of architectural experience.
Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) degree.
Previous knowledge in review work is a plus
Primary Starting role will be centered around review work
Proficiency in CO-OP or condo design.
In-depth knowledge of NYC building codes and regulations.
Self-driven and adept at working autonomously.
CAD proficiency is a valuable asset.
