About the Role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take a leading role in overseeing complex multi-family conversion projects from concept through completion. You’ll collaborate with clients, contractors, and designers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest design and technical standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to shape the built environment of New York City while advancing your professional career.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of design and construction documents for multi-family conversion projects
Produce comprehensive, well-coordinated contract documents that clearly communicate design intent and meet regulatory standards
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables from start to finish
Conduct site visits, manage construction administration, and ensure compliance with NYC building codes
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals, and manage documentation and communication across all project phases
Mentor junior staff and foster collaboration within the project team
License: Registered Architect (New York State license required)
Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in architecture, with a focus on multi-family housing, adaptive reuse, or conversion projects in NYC
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; strong ability to produce detailed, coordinated contract documents; deep understanding of building systems, construction methods, and New York City building codes
Leadership: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead interdisciplinary teams
Education: Professional degree in Architecture (Master’s degree a plus)
Communication: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
