What You’ll Do: As an
MRI Technologist (PRN) at OrthoAtlanta , you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and regulatory compliance. You’ll work closely with radiologists, physicians, and clinical teams in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Imaging Operations:
Operate MRI equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, transmission, archiving, and electronic medical records.
Patient Care & Education:
Instruct patients on MRI procedures, obtain informed consent, and provide radiologists and physicians with relevant patient history.
Technical Excellence:
Prepare and position patients using standardized protocols to produce the highest quality diagnostic images; evaluate images for technical accuracy prior to submission for interpretation.
Quality & Accreditation:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including ACR accreditation; perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control in accordance with vendor and ACR guidelines.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all MRI safety standards and practices, recognizing and mitigating risks related to ferromagnetic objects and magnetic field exposure.
Regulatory Oversight:
Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and departmental policies; identify potential risk areas and support resolution efforts.
Inventory & Equipment:
Maintain MRI supplies, perform physical inventories, and assist with equipment calibration and maintenance as required.
Professional Standards:
Follow ARRT Standards of Ethics and complete continuing education to maintain licensure.
Team Support:
Perform additional duties as assigned to support department and organizational goals.

What You’ll Need:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT registered with advanced MRI certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
One to three years of experience in MRI or related imaging services
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
Strong understanding of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols
Excellent organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills
