Job title : MRI Technologist
Job location : New York, NY 10025
Shift : Saturday and Sunday 8AM - 12AM
Pay : $66-$71 /hr
Contract : 60 days Only
Required Skills & Experience: -Strong background in cross sectional anatomy, physical sciences and M.R. physics. -Requires excellent technical skills, knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology. -Two (2) years' experience in MRI.
Duties : Performs MRI imaging procedures in accordance with written protocols and patient needs Positions patients and associated coils to obtain optimal diagnostic-quality studies Educates patients on imaging procedures, including exam details and required instructions Reviews patient safety questionnaires prior to introducing patients into the MRI scan room Ensures MRI images are properly labeled and transmitted to PACS in a timely manner Evaluates images for technical acceptability and completes studies in IDX (Radiology Information System) Maintains cleanliness of MRI rooms and equipment, including removal of soiled linen Accurately records patient tracking information and schedules exams in IDX as required Maintains safety standards, infection control practices, and prevents introduction of ferromagnetic materials Assists physicians, performs clerical duties when needed, and reports equipment or safety issues
