Job Overview The Nakoa Companies Inc. is seeking two energetic, detail-oriented Project Coordinators to support ongoing construction projects across Hawaii and the Pacific region. Working under the direction of the Project Manager, this full-time, on-site role provides critical administrative, logistical, and communication support to ensure project execution stays organized, on schedule, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Task & Schedule Management: Coordinate project calendars, track deliverables, and assist in scheduling meetings and site activities.
Communication & Liaison: Serve as the communication bridge between project managers, field staff, subcontractors, and clients.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and update project documentation, track status reports, and organize files for easy access.
Budget & Risk Monitoring: Assist in tracking project expenditures and support efforts to mitigate risk and resolve issues.
Resource Coordination: Ensure that materials, equipment, and support personnel are available and aligned with project needs.
Administrative Support: Handle procurement paperwork, assist with logistics, and provide general administrative support as needed.
Qualifications 2+ years of experience in project coordination or project support within the construction industry (federal contracting experience preferred).
Experience supporting Project Engineers or Project Managers in both office and field environments.
Associate degree or 2 years of college/technical school required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office tools.
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Ability to take initiative, stay flexible, and solve problems as they arise.
Other Requirements Must pass a 5-panel drug screen (federal contracting requirement).
Must be eligible for access to military facilities.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
