Minnesota Mental Health Clinics is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. As a Mental Health NP, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of mental health disorders. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care tailored to the unique needs of each patient. This role involves both in-person and remote consultations, with a focus on fostering a therapeutic relationship to support patients’ mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including patient interviews, medical history reviews, and physical examinations.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient goals.
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, adjusting treatment as necessary.
Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for coping.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health care.

Possess strong clinical skills in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Have experience in prescribing and managing psychiatric medications.
Are excellent communicators, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
Are able to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
Are compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to improving the mental health and well‑being of patients.
Have a strong understanding of mental health laws, ethics, and confidentiality.
Are proficient with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
Must-Have Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have:
A valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Minnesota
1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP‑BC).
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
At least 2 years of experience working in mental health care.
Strong knowledge of evidence‑based practices in psychiatric care.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Salary range: $110,000-$130,000 (The offered salary is dependent upon candidate’s experience level and quality of interview).
