SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE The Local Sales Finance Analyst is a critical partner to the Global Support Center Sales Finance Team, responsible for supporting financial performance within the assigned Local Sales segment. This role collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams—including Sales, Accounting, Commercial Finance, and Financial Planning & Analysis—to analyze financial trends, oversee and review expense management, and support informed strategic and operational decision‑making.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for creating and working on presentation decks for various meetings and cadences, including weekly updates, Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews, leadership meetings and other key business updates.
Assist leadership in pulling data from various internal resources and analyze trends to identify key drivers affecting financial performance.
Reviews dashboards, develop financial models and reports to track performance drivers/KPIs.
Partner and support sales leaders to provide value-added insights to drive needed actions through financial analytics, business performance measurements.
Effectively communicate key updates and priorities to local sales finance team members as well as other key stakeholders across the organization. Facilitate routine meetings to ensure alignment on strategic objectives, financial performance, and project deadlines. Ability to lead and manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they stay on track and meet deadlines.
Develop ideas and tools to improve usability of Sysco’s internal data sources. Work cross-functionally to automate or improve existing processes to streamline accuracy and performance. Design new methods for analyzing and presenting program recommendations.
Work on other ad‑hoc projects requested by executive management and other leadership positions.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline)
2 years of FP&A , quantitative analytics experience
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel (Ability to analyze large data points), proficient use of other MS Office tools.
Experience using financial reporting tools (e.g., dashboards, BI platforms, or ERP reporting modules) to analyze and interpret financial data
Strong analytical skills, ability to think strategically and influence business decisions using appropriate, fact-based financial information.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently
Demonstrate strong, proactive problem‑solving skills
Ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization (executive to associate level)
Collaboration skills to work with business groups outside of Finance
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, able to handle pressure well, be self‑motivated and detail‑oriented.
Experience partnering with sales organizations is preferred, though not required
