The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Zeeland that are seeking skilled Automation Engineers. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement industrial automation solutions, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.

Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Conduct testing, debugging, and commissioning of new and modified automation equipment and control systems.

Provide technical support and perform troubleshooting on existing manufacturing automation systems to minimize downtime.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimize current automation systems for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.

Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including electrical schematics, PLC programs, and operational procedures.

Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to integrate automation solutions into manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA development.

Strong understanding of industrial automation systems, including robotics, motion control, and vision systems.

Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet) and network architectures.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues and optimize manufacturing processes.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration.

Proficiency in vision system setup and programming for quality control or guidance.

Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or database integration for automation data.

Knowledge of industrial IoT platforms or data analytics for operational insights.
