Sunoco LP is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Retail Operational Accounting team in Dallas, TX. We perform end-to-end accounting and analysis for all service areas for gas, food and auto services along New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. Perform daily review of store activity. Work with store managers to address inventory, credit card, fuel sales and merchandise sales issues. Record daily and monthly journal entries to ensure accuracy of financial information. Prepare account reconciliations and explain reconciling items. Perform trend analysis on various P&L and balance sheet accounts. Proactively identify improvements in areas like tasks completion and availability. Creatively use Excel techniques to develop working templates for process enhancements. Key Attributes

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below: Technical Skills: Sound understanding of accounting practices and principles Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in use of Excel Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods General Ledger experience including manual journal entries and problem solving using t-accounts. Preferred qualifications
Experience with PDI, SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, or Robotic Process Automation tools is a plus Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
The Associate Accountant level requires a Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience The Staff Accountant level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience The Senior Accountant level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience Working Conditions
Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
