Overview We are looking to appoint a Ticketing & Information Officer to the Welcome Team. This role will involve youmeeting and greeting visitors to the Abbey. You will ensure our visitors receive a warm Abbey welcome at all times, whilst also issuing tickets, selling add-ons such as tours and guide books, and handling cash/credit card transactions.

This is a frontline, customer-focused role that will require you to provide excellent customer service within a fast-paced, demanding setting, as well as taking responsibility for general ticketing/cashier duties.

The role is uniformed and will require you to abide by the Abbey’s uniform guidelines whilst on duty.

Responsibilities

Meet and greet visitors to the Abbey.

Issue tickets, sell add-ons such as tours and guide books.

Handle cash/credit card transactions.

Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.

Take responsibility for general ticketing/cashier duties.

Working Hours 14 hours per week. The full time equivalent hours are 35 hours per week.

Annual Holidays The full-time holiday entitlement is 33 days per annum, including recognised public holidays.

Training On-site training will be provided in all aspects of the job. Any further training needs will be assessed through the probation period and in annual appraisals.

Pension Scheme & Life Assurance All employees can join a Group Personal Pension plan, where the minimumemployee contribution is 3% and themaximumemployer contribution is 9% (asdeterminedby the level of the employee contribution). You will beauto-enrolledinto our qualifying workplace pension scheme after 3months, ifyou meet the eligibility criteria.
