The Opportunity This role is designed for a professional aiming to become a Head Superintendent. You will gain hands‑on experience with large‑scale enhancement projects every off‑season and play a vital role in our year‑round operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations:
Lead daily planning, staff recruiting, hiring, and training for a year round crew of approximately 25.
Agronomics:
Help execute precision spraying and fertilizer applications, water management, and detailed record‑keeping/data analysis.
Leadership:
Work closely with the Director of Agronomy and Superintendent to make sure a strong team first atmosphere is in place. Help mentor our 2nd assistant and annual interns. Collaborate with the irrigation and equipment technicians.
Project Management:
Help oversee annual course enhancements and experimental turfgrass test plots.
Core Skills:
Strong knowledge of chemical application equipment.
Proven leadership, time‑management, and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and a passion for the turf industry.
Ability to solve problems and follow complex written/oral directions.
A golfer’s understanding of the rules and playability is a plus.
