Urgent Care Physician

Facility in Quincy, IL seeking Urgent Care locums coverage Rates: $180/hr Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: Monday Thursday (Looking for consistency with 4 shifts in a row).
• Shifts: 12-hour shifts; mix of 6:00 AM 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM 10:00 PM.
• Volume: Clinic averages patients per day split between 3 providers (approx. 2.5 patients per hour).
• EMR: Epic.
• Support: Comprehensive specialty support available on-site; experienced nursing and mid-level staff.
• Work Setting: You may work solo from 6:00 AM 9:00 AM before the full team arrives.

Clinical Responsibilities The patient mix is approximately 60% Adult and 40% Pediatric. Candidates must be comfortable managing standard urgent care presentations and performing essential minor procedures. Typical Cases Include:

• Upper respiratory infections (Cough/Sore throat), UTI, and Flu.
• STD testing and pelvic exams.
• Rashes and general medical evaluations.

Required Procedures:

• Suturing of lacerations.
• Splinting for orthopedic injuries.
• Foreign body removal (including eye).
• Interpretation of on-site X-rays.

Provider Requirements

• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (REQUIRED).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency setting.
• Licensure: Active Illinois State License (IMLC accepted).
• Certifications: Active ATLS, PALS, BLS, and DEA are required.
• Availability: Must be able to cover the Monday Thursday block.

Start Date & Privileging

• Estimated Start: May 1, 2026.
• Privileging: Full privileges take approximately 120 days.
