POSITION RE-OPENED. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified candidate to join the city of Yoncalla.
We are a small city (about 1,100 population) but busy. The position is responsible for overall management of city departments, managing the city budget and utilities, combining the managerial duties of an administrator with the Recorder’s responsibility for records and official documents management. The role provides advanced administrative support to the Mayor and the Council.
The city sits in the beautiful Eagle Valley, between Roseburg and Eugene, Oregon. It is just over an hour from the ocean, a few minutes off of the I-5 freeway, and close to recreation opportunities in our mountains, rivers, and ocean.
The city operates its own water and wastewater systems and has a staff of five. We are starting a strategic planning process as soon as practicable after our new administrator arrives, with major capital and planning projects in place for all of our utility systems as a result of a host of successful grant applications. We have significant capital reserves for projects and a great track record in obtaining grants.
We do not require our city manager to live inside city limits. We have a generous benefits package including Oregon PERS. Position is open until filled.
