Job Summary As Warehouse Coordinator, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, accuracy in inventory handling, and compliance with safety and quality standards. You will provide hands‑on leadership to warehouse associates, coordinate inbound and outbound activities, and serve as a key communication link between warehouse staff, supervisors, customer service, and other departments.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
Lead, train, and support warehouse associates in daily tasks.
Assign tasks and monitor performance to maintain productivity, accuracy, and timeliness.
Act as supervisor when leadership is unavailable.
Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts or physical inventory counts.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Maintain proper stock rotation, labeling, and organization within the warehouse and grounds.
Coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments to meet customer and production deadlines.
Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal departments to resolve scheduling or delivery issues.
Identify bottlenecks and recommend workflow improvements.
Enforce safety policies, warehouse procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct routine safety checks on equipment, storage areas, and the facility.
Complete all required training.
Promote a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment.
Complete and maintain required logs, reports, and documentation.
Track and report key warehouse metrics such as pick accuracy, productivity, and damages.
Required Experience / Knowledge
Proven work experience in a warehouse setting.
Knowledge of warehousing and stock control methods and procedures.
Proficiency with warehouse software packages and Microsoft Office.
Ability to input, retrieve, and analyze data.
Understanding of warehouse operations, procedures, equipment, and terminology.
Proficient in proper storage methods for equipment, materials, and supplies.
Excellent inventory methods and practices.
Skills / Personal Attributes
Adaptability to changing operational and organizational needs.
Strong team player able to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
Problem‑solving and evaluation skills.
Experience in a union environment.
Experience using SAP.
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to adapt to schedule changes based on business needs.
Regular and prompt attendance during working hours.
Formal Education
High school diploma or GED and at least three years of warehouse or related experience.
Working Conditions
Work involves standing, sitting, and walking.
Effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing.
Manual dexterity for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Must bend, squat, crawl, climb, and reach.
Must lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 75 pounds.
Exposure to machinery, temperature and humidity changes, dust, fumes, and gases.
