Overview Behavioral Health / Psych Acute Adult; Part‑time day shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) with weekend and holiday rotation. Facility: Mercy Medical, Aurora, IL 60506.
Sign‑On Bonus Up to $5,000.
Responsibilities
Perform basic nursing duties, including treating patients, educating patients and families about mental and medical conditions, and providing emotional support.
Run therapeutic groups, provide psychiatric crisis intervention, and manage seclusion and restraint of patients when necessary.
Record patients' medical histories and symptoms, assist in diagnostic testing and analysis, operate medical machinery, administer treatments and medications, and facilitate patient follow‑up and rehabilitation.
Teach patients and families how to manage illness or injury, diet and exercise programs, and self‑administration of medication and physical therapy.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must have a current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.

Compensation estimate: $35.35 to $53.58 per hour (including wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation). Exact starting compensation determined at hiring.
